'Adjusting The Practise' Ashtanga Yoga Workshop
Exploring healthy alignment and an opportunity for investigative self inquiry; we will completely break down the practises of Surya Namaskar A & B from the ashtanga yoga system looking at areas such as 'rolling through the toes to updog' , how far we step back/step forward, floating back! etc., in order to deepen our own knowledge. We will learn to adjust each individual posture (where relevant) contained within A&B, eg, down dog, warrior 1 etc., and begin to 're-learn' our own approach to practising for where each of us are 'now'. We will explore simple observation and adjustment techniques for a safer and deeper experience for yourself and verbal and hands on adjustments for sharing with others, thus helping to maximise the amazing benefits these salutations and postures within them, have to offer. This workshop is suitable for anyone wishing to deepen their knowledge and understanding of yoga, and for those wishing to share or who are already teaching yoga, but perhaps need more knowledge and confidence for adjusting. To book, please send payment along with booking form. Places on a 1st come 1st serve basis. Please contact me if you need a booking form. Workshop cost £20 Venue will be Tilbrook or Swineshead Village Hall depending on numbers (TBA nearer the time) click here for page with map and addresses of teaching venues
